Case details

The municipal tax on second homes is the subject of a constant battle between owners of second homes on the Belgian coast and local authorities. This tax runs totally counter to the constitutional principles of equality and non-discrimination. The municipalities of De Panne, Knokke-Heist and Coxyde have arrogated to themselves the right to illegally tax owners who are not their main residents.

We know that as an individual taxpayer, it can be complicated and costly to hire a lawyer to help you win your case. That's why Thierry Lauwers has formed a group of taxpayers to take the necessary steps to contest the municipal tax due on the grounds that it is illegal.

Unity is strength. Defend your rights and save money! Don't remain passive!
